It’s nice when you’re not the only Salmon.

Pura Vida,

Beautiful Souls,

I am writing this journal entry as I am fulfilling a dream of many years.

For a moment in time. I am here. At the place that has been calling me for 9 years now, before I even step foot here.

The amazing Costa Rica.

The world is still upside down. But not here. Here it’s all very clear.

Sea. Sun. Earth. Jungle. Sunset. Walking barefoot. Low tide. High tide. Old and new friends. Community. A bathing suit will do.

Ease and slowing down a lot, and I mean A LOT,  turns out is a recipe for well being.

The Nicoya Peninsula, where I am with my little precious family, is one of the 5 blue zones in the world.

When you are here, you start to comprehend why.

You see. You can’t always get it all. Nor should you.

Living in a big city, like I have for the past 22 years, in New York no less, the center of the world, having everything at your finger tips, with an added constant intense pulse, comes at a price.

Sometimes it’s very high.

I found that the deeper I went in to my own healing and awakening journey the more quiet I wanted. Softer sounds. Nature.

It required hard work to be in a peaceful, balanced state within all that concrete jungle and it’s never ending doing.

There was so much noise, so much energy, such intensity that to stay in your calm is possible, and is defiantly a powerful spiritual “test” but requires swimming against the current nearly every.       single.        moment.

And you get tired. No matter how good of a swimmer you are. You get tired.

You need many “escapes” many “vacations” from such daily life to recharge.

Here, I am not the only one dictating her own pace. The nature and the ease provides for a nurturing environment to center yourself even more. Here, I am not the only salmon swimming up the river.

I can BE here.

With no guilt, just simply BE here.

There is less emphasis on doing and if so, most here seem to be enjoying their doing more, and more people here seem to love their doing.

At the end, the joy is what matters. The flow. The intention.

Living this way, you need less “vacations” less “escapes”.

By no means it’s perfect. Your lessons follow you everywhere and the energy can be intense here too, right in the middle between ocean and jungle…

But still, the practice of watching the sun go down with an un abstracted view, the ability to just go and wash it all at the ocean steps away, is a gift most of us don’t have living our urban lifestyle, no matter how much money you have or how big your house is.

What have we been missing all this time? What is there to learn from the PURA VIDA simple lifestyle of the gracious locals here?

I realized a ton….but more on that, another time:-)

For now, I am grate-full to be here.

I am excited to be writing this for you.

I recognize my blessings as well as the fruits of my efforts.

Things do come full circle…

Living in Light Tip

I will leave you with this, Beautiful Soul,

Start and keep moving towards the direction of becoming your own super hero.

Your own Genie in a bottle.

One practice is to clearly see the story you wish to live in.

Feel it.

Be in it.

Let that feeling of joy wash over you as it raises your vibrations and fills your heart with glee.

Let it curve your lips into the sweetest smile.

That feeling of joy, that smile?

You put it there!

If you can do that, what other powers are you holding within…?

And that story in your “imagination” ?

That story is living itself, somewhere. Waiting for you to allow it to enter your life. To enter your realm. Your vessel.

Invite it in. It is patiently waiting.

For you.

Later Super human…

From my soul to yours ,

Tamar
